Twickenham Veterinary Surgery first opened in September 2002, as a branch surgery of P.G. Andre in Richmond. In December 2003, Christabel Moseley was made the manager and proceeded to run the surgery for the following years until she bought it from Mr Andre in early 2008. In June 2007 a new premises became available three doors down from the existing practice at 64 Hampton Road. The new premises afforded much more space, and in November 2007, after a lengthy process, planning permission was granted to convert the new premises into a veterinary surgery. The lease was finally signed in March 2008, and the mammoth project of converting the building into a veterinary surgery began. With the help of a great team of builders, plumbers and electricians, and Christabel’s family, friends and clients, the whole building was transformed into a workable veterinary surgery with fantastic facilities. The new surgery opened its doors on 4th August 2008, after a busy weekend of moving all the equipment and stock from the old premises, which involved the help of lots of our lovely clients and staff.
In September 2008, Wendy Stickells joined the surgery as our part time veterinary surgeon: she worked the rest of the week at the RSPCA in Putney, where she has worked for the last ten years. Laura Selley joined the team as a full time vet in November 2009. Wendy switched to full time in January 2011. Both Wendy and Laura are fantastic to work with and share Christabel’s philosophy that the animals come first. We are incredibly lucky to have a fantastic team of veterinary nursing staff, without whose dedication and compassion, the surgery would not be half the place it is!
The surgery is now run by Christabel and her husband, Kevin Franklin, who is the practice manager. Both Christabel and Kevin pride themselves in providing good customer service at affordable prices.
